In the two days from 13 to 14 July 2018 in Mong Duong - Quang Ninh, the leaders and key staff of Galaxy Mechanical - Electrical Joint Stock Company participated in a training course on Sustainable Development Reporting organized by Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). The training course was attended by representatives of 30 enterprises.
During the two days of participation, businesses were equipped with basic information and knowledge about the CSRCB project. This is a project to guide the method of making reports according to international standards in order to promote businesses to comply and fulfill all obligations related to community, environment and society. In addition to the knowledge that they have already gained, the training also helped participants practice and use the latest online reporting tool provided by GRI.
The International Standard for Sustainable Reporting (GRI) was released in 2016. This is the latest version and the highest international standard for sustainability reporting.
GRI is an independent international organization, established in 1997 by the Economic Union. The purpose of GRI is to improve sustainable development, to minimize the risks, and adverse impacts that come from the businesses themselves as well as the government management system. The GRI standard is currently applied by the European Commission EC as the sustainability reporting standard for multinational corporations.
Attending the training course organized by Global Reporting Initiative gave Galaxy M&E staff a comprehensive view of the general development trend of businesses in the world. Thanks to the course, positioning and responsibility of Vietnamese businesses in the process of integration with the global economy can be seen clearly.
More specifically, the knowledge that the participants gained from the course will definitely help Galaxy M&E and the Vietnamese business community strive and contribute to "Create new values" in the direction of green - clean - effective, delivering Sustainable development with the global natural environment.
